On February 5, 2026, Rockworth welcomed faculty members and 25 students from the Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) to the Rockworth Experience Center for an educational visit focused on contemporary workplace design. The visit aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on designing work environments that respond to the evolving nature of work.
During the session, students attended a knowledge-sharing presentation led by Rockworth’s workplace experts, introducing the concept of Activity Based Working (ABW). This approach to workplace design focuses on organizing spaces according to different work activities, such as areas for focused individual work, collaborative teamwork, meetings, and informal discussions. The concept is closely aligned with the principles of Human-Centered Design, which place users at the core of the design process to ensure that workplace environments effectively support diverse behaviors, needs, and working styles.
In addition to the presentation, the students toured the Rockworth Experience Center, where they observed real examples of modern workplace planning and spatial strategies. The visit highlighted how thoughtfully designed work environments integrate spatial planning, functional workplace layouts, and furniture solutions that support flexible and diverse work patterns in today’s organizations.
The study visit aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of practical workplace design by allowing them to experience how design concepts are applied in real working environments. Such exposure helps bridge academic knowledge with professional practice and supports the development of future architects and designers.
